microDimensions in Nature Immunology

We are happy to announce that our software debuted to generate 3D reconstructions of iMATEs (intrahepatic myeloid-cell aggregates for T cell population expansion). 30 serial liver sections subjected to immunohistochemistry for detection of CD11b+ cells and GFP+ cytotoxic T lymphoytes were automatically reconstructed.
Movies of the reconstructions can be found here:

A detailed description on how the movies were generated can be found in the supplementary information of the full article "Intrahepatic myeloid-cell aggregates enable local proliferation of CD8+ T cells and successful immunotherapy against chronic viral liver infection". The 2011 ISI impact factor for Nature Immunology is 26, making the journal first among primary research journals in immunology.
