microDimensions, global provider of state-of-the-art digital pathology software, today released Zoom 1.1. Zoom is microDimensions’ free of charge viewer for whole slide images from all major hardware vendors and supports an unlimited number of 8 and 16 bit channels. This update adds more intuitive navigation as well as snapshot capabilities to the fastest digital pathology viewer on the market.
microDimensions Zoom now smartly reacts to user interactions. During panning and zooming an overview window shows where the current view is located inside the whole slide image. Next to the scale also the magnification of the objective lens is displayed. Furthermore, at any time a snapshot of the current view can be saved as JPEG, Bitmap, PNG, or TIFF image.
“Thanks to our fast growing user base we got a lot of valuable and useful feedback, which we took and will always take very seriously”, said Dr. Hauke Heibel, CTO of microDimensions. “This allowed us to quickly respond to all major requests with a more powerful, updated version of Zoom.”
